Research interest

· The research in our lab lies at the interface of chemistry and biology. We are mainly interested in studying unnatural nucleic acid (XNA) and focus our research work on the XNA chemical biology and synthetic biology. On one hand, the XNA research could help us address fundamental questions such as the origin and early evolution of life on Earth. On the other hand, the XNA study could provide novel molecular tools for practical applications like cancer immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and gene therapy. We are also interested in constructing synthetic life carrying XNA as genetic materials.

· Our group has published scientific papers in journal such as Nature Chemistry, Journal of the American Chemical Society, ACS Applied Materials & interfaces, Chemical Science and Chemical Communications.
